LEARNING OBJECtIVES:

Review the importance of specialized nutrition for the preterm infant to maximize neurodevelopmental outcomes after discharge.

Describe best practices and challenges for the healthcare team when planning for discharge using either breastmilk and/or formula products.

Discuss a case study to illustrate nutritional goals for a typical NICU graduate.
